The food here is outstanding! The Tom Yum Ramen had a rich, flavorful broth, and the Coconut Ice Cream was a standout dessert—super creamy and delicious. However, I wanted to let the management know that sitting near the entrance during the snowstorm was quite uncomfortable. Every time the door opened, an icy draft came in, making it very cold at the table. Aside from the seating temperature, everything was perfect!

The place has a cozy, fun vibe, it honestly feels like stepping into your cousin’s room in the 2000s who’s obsessed with anime and cats (in a good nostalgic way 😄). The service was friendly; one person was handling all the tables and did a good job. We tried a few dishes. The Pad Thai unfortunately wasn’t my favorite, it was a bit too salty, and the noodles were clumped together. The toppings seemed scattered on top instead of mixed in, which made the texture uneven. On the bright side, the shrimp were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The spring rolls were okay, fresh but not particularly memorable. Otosan is a cozy, hidden gem tucked away on Elm Street in McLean. The owners are warm and welcoming, the interior is clever and unique, and the food is consistently outstanding. It is always a treat to visit. Each time we've been, the owners have stopped by to recommend different dishes and tell us how they are made. The service is attentive and reliably friendly, but it is the food that stands out above all else. The noodle soups have a depth and balance of rich and savory flavors. Absolutely loved this place! Amazing service and insanely delicious food. Spicy miso ramen with ground pork and curry puffs are something I’d come back for again! Atmosphere was peak, from cool cat wall art to anime action figures, loved it all.

Best ramen in Nova & likely most of DC! This is coming from someone who craves ramen even when it’s 100 outside. This place is so good that I went back the next day for takeout. We got both the spicy miso & black garlic tonkatsu & agreed that the tonkatsu was our favorite. The broth is so flavorful & love the texture of the wavy noodles. The ramen portions are huge! Excellent value. Love the chili oil on the tables. I could drink it & put in three heaping spoonfuls but beware as it definitely gets spicy with the more chili oil you use.
