Otis Library

The library is great.the parking is horrible. The children's section is so nice and the staff in the children's dept are super nice and not overly concerned with noise. The programs are top notch. My grandson loves Miss cat. We also use the museum passes and find them to be a great way to expand our knowledge and have enjoyable outings. Thanks for all of the hard work that you do to maintain the books, play areas and overall brightness of the library!! 💙💙💙

A beautiful state of the art library for the residents of Norwich, Connecticut and the surrounding towns. The welcoming symphonic music upon your entrance at the main door in to the Library is very breathtaking and at the same time motivating to get your mind ready for your research or just fantastic reading. Chelsea Groton Bank, the United States Post Office (Full service) and a few places to eat during a break from your Library visit, are close by as well 👍 I enjoyed my minimal visit though, because the Library closed at 2:00 pm on a Thursday during the week.

Really neat and clean place but the people here tend to not like to see the youth at the library. I do need to try out the events in all honesty. I also wish the bus stop was not at the door of the facility so we have to bring our kids into a building entryways filled with people smoking, honestly terrible look for the town.

Parking is street or around the corner in a side lot. Inside the library is beautiful. Front desk is very helpful and kind. There is lots of areas to play in the children's section as well for those looking to take kids. OH! ...and there is comfy black chairs for parents to sit back while kids explore in almost all the play areas.

Today I attended a book sale organized by Friends of Otis Library. I'm sorry, but the information provided for the book sale was a complete scam. The listing on the Book Sale Finder website claimed the books were “excellent clean books,” but most of them were discarded library books and absolutely filthy. There were hardly any clean books. I've been to hundreds of library book sales over the years, and this was by far the worst and a total disappointment. I drove nearly 3 hours to get there and would never recommend this sale to anyone. It might be a decent local library, but the event organized by Friends of Otis Library was misleading and full of false information. Don't go to their book sale. You'll regret it.
