Osteria La Briccola

We came here four our valentines dinner this year and it was absolutely perfect. Every staff member we interacted with was very kind and helpful especially our waitress who was very knowledgeable of the menu. We had oysters as our appetizer, lamb ragu and a seafood spaghetti as our mains, and an affogato and chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was absolutely amazing. The dishes were made with such care and passion. They also had a great wine selection.

There were no deficiencies whatsoever. Everything from the split grape, arugula, and goat cheese salad to the tagliatelle, sausage, and mushroom entrée were excellent. The hazelnut Gelato capped it off. So fresh and flavorful. Great service, too!

We stopped in for dinner, a party of four. I think at least a handful of people is nice here because there are a lot of delicious sounding choices, including off menu specials, that make it hard to choose. We got to order a bunch of things and share. The bucatini and halibut (latter was a special) really stole the show, but everything was really tasty. Good service as well. Would recommend in general!

Restaurants in Ashland have changed a lot over the years. Some better, some worse, and all way more expensive. Service has gone downhill (not only in Ashland) and it's hard to get value for the dollar. I am so happy to say that La Briccola raised the bar and I am thrilled to write this positive review!! I have always wanted to go here but I didn't for many reasons. Maybe I was budgeting my money or just not able to deal with the small elevator (I have severe claustrophobia). But, I met a friend for a meal over the Christmas season and EVERYTHING was delightful!!! Our seat, our food, our cocktails, our service. Myself and my family had the opportunity to eat at La Briccola last week. We sat outside, which was beautiful, even with the warm weather. There was plenty of shade and the view of the trees and the sound of the creek made for an excellent atmosphere. We ordered two bottles of wine, two salads, an appetizer, four entrees and three desserts. All of the food was quite well prepared, delicious and came with great service. My only complaint is that while the bread is quite excellent, there isn't enough bread served to begin with and the fact that they charge you for extra bread, especially for a party of 6, comes off as cheap. I'm been to plenty of upscale Italian restaurants around the country and this hasn't been the case. The atmosphere inside was also quite excellent. The server was friend
