Beautiful library! The building is a converted historic church built in the late 1800s. Nice areas to set up a laptop and work, nice reading area with a fireplace and spacious main hall served as the old chapel. Love the arches and windows.

First time at the Osterhout Free Library was the first day they opened back up since the Corona Virus. The building is simply awesome. Way bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. Getting a library card was so easy and free. I did that online before they opened up. They are doing what they can to keep the location safe. I am just so impressed. I've never been to a library all my life and this is my first experience and it is simply amazing. HUGE selection of movies, DVDs, Blu-ray, music and of course, books. And it's got a second floor! Honestly, walking around the building gave me the vibes you get when exploring somewhere cool. I got butterflies in my stomach going from room to room. I have some photos that I'll share, the place is just beautiful. If you're considering it,

An excellent place for research. Great book selections. If they don't have it you can ask for it and they'll try and get it. Discount center at main entrance is superb and prices are excellent 👌. Staff has always been super friendly and helpful.

The library was always a good place to go when you wanted to get some work or research done away from home or the office. Lately it’s been getting louder and louder inside with little attention to it being given by staff. Whether they don’t have a concern for it or are just afraid of any type of confrontation is frustrating. The last visit had kids literally running around and screaming but nothing was done. Still a good place to go but be prepared to have to find an alternative due to excessive noise.

The Osterhout Library is one of the best-maintained public resources in the valley. The staff go above and beyond to keep this community asset modern and accessible. With computers, ebooks, and physical copies readily available, it often rivals (and sometimes exceeds) the functionality of university libraries. Additionally, tent sales are an excellent strategy for recycling each year. The history and architecture make the experience even more intriguing.
