On The Way Café

Stopped here with my husband on a Sunday morning for breakfast. The place was almost completely empty at 8am, so we were able to sit right away. It took a few minutes for the waitress to come to our table but I think she was the only person there. I ordered the Italian omelet with home fries and a biscuit and it was amazing. The biscuit nearly melted in my mouth. My husband had 3 scrambled eggs and bacon. The only reason I couldn't at least give a 4.5 star review was because it was freezing! It has been uncharacteristically cold for our area, so its possible the restaurant's heating system had trouble keeping up. But otherwise it was a good experience.

We have visited this place 2xs and had delicious meals both times. Sandee our server took our order without writing anything down, and it was correct! Very impressive and states how knowledgeable she is with the menu. Small place with a comfortable charm, food was cooked to order, my omlette was perfect, I akso had a Pecan Cranberry pancake, you can get 1, 2 or 3 pancakes, they are huge, so you will take leftovers home. My husband had the 2-2-2 with sweet potato pancakes, also delicious. This gem is tucked away, so don't drive by without stopping in to try, you won't be disappointed.

On The Way Cafe is a solid, standard dining experience. You know what you're gonna get, and it's pretty good. We met with some friends while visiting the beach. We had a big party with several young kids and the staff was amazing. They were very kind and cordial and worked hard to make sure our large group was seated and taken care of. As breakfast continued, the Sunday morning rush filled in. Service slowed but continued. The food scratched the diner itch. However, the eggs Benedict were essentially hard boiled. This is a great place to come and enjoy good company with friendly service, with some food that is fine.

4 of us came for lunch today, but decided to order breakfast as we had not eaten yet. 3 of is ordered Eggs Benedict with side of their home fries with onions & green pepper. So very good! 1 ordered a regular breakfast of eggs, potatoes & crisp bacon. We were all very satisfied & will definitely return. 😊 Carole D. & family.

My 85 yo Mother enjoys lunch and dinner here. It's classic diner food. Good soups and sandwiches. Nice size portions
