Olde Northender Pub

As an ONE resident, I have been going to the Northender since moving here. Last night I was denied access with my service animal. Not only that I was treated with an enormous amount of disrespect by the new owner (son of the prior owner). As a patron and ONE neighbor, I expected far better. My husband, my friends who were present, and I were appalled not only by the violation of law but the way we were spoken to. We will never return again. I would caution any individual with a disability of any nature against patronizing the Northender in the future. As it seems likely, given the attitude of the new owner throughout our exchange, he may respond and try to misconstrue the incident, I’ll offer some context. Owner’s son runs the bar and dictates who’s allowed to drink here now. Used to be a fun laid back establishment. Now it’s just used as a place to impress the newest teenager that the son’s owner has on the hook. I do not recommend drinking here anymore. Please go down the road to T-Ruggs. I was a regular for 8 years and now I don’t recommend this place at all. E

The beer was flowing, the pool table was alive with the click clack of carefully directed spheres and the wifi was oh so good. Oh so so so good.

Loved this place, stumbled on it while out for a walk. Definitely bigger than it looks. Great prices on drinks. Pool table and outside seating in the back with tables, chairs, foot rests and even has a grill and horseshoes. Bartenders were very friendly and outgoing. One of the best "local" bars in town that I experienced.

such a cool bar, it was recommended by a member in a travel group i belong to. Too bad we had a flight to catch, we would've stayed longer!
