OLD SLO at The Cape

Hey all! Travel to Pismo constantly from our home in Yosemite. To say we are picky with food is such an understatement and with my health concerns when it comes to food it makes it even harder, but this place, wow. It was amazing. Surpassed my expectations. They were beyond sweet and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our food. I loved my burger. Fresh and was an actual made paddy it wasn’t any frozen nastiness. My husband’s Poke bowl looked so good I was so sad to miss out! Our kids beyond happy. Our daughter who’s beyond picky ate her whole giant burger and our boy loved his chicken tenders. Wouldn’t have been complete without dessert and man the brownie was wonderful! We will be coming back here next time :)

We were excited to see this place taken over by Old Slo BBQ as that is one spot we like to go to in town. Hadn't been here before the change of ownership, so can't comment on that part. The layout is great, so much outdoor space and the giant sandbox with the windmill is great for kids. Our daughter was having a blast. The patio was nice too since we could sit with our dog. Service wasn't great, but it worked. We ordered the Surf n Turf wrap to share and that was a good decision since it was quite large. I was skeptical about it working well, but it was a nice balance of flavors. Probably a bit too saucy, but still good even though it got a bit messy. Fries were good, nice and crispy but fluffy inside. Pretty neat place, looking forward to coming back again.

Food was well prepared and tasty. Enjoyed the outside seating with the fire pits and Adirondack chairs. The chocolate brownie with ice cream was a great desert as well as the strawberry shortcake that had a delicious light and fluffy cake. I nice little gem we found.

Shout out to Olivia for making our experience so nice! Lovely location for outdoor dining. The carnita tacos were delicious as well as the shortcake. Plenty of shade on a sunny day. Really nice area for kids to play which is separate from another outdoor dining area. Really appreciate all the nearby free parking. Will be back!

Great location. You can sit outside. There are games like corn hole etc. We got the grilled fish tacos. They were full of, and the slaw inside made it even better. The chicken bacon wrap was huge. Only ate half of it, and it was good even for leftovers. They have a large variety of beers to choose from. I highly recommend it. Came back again and got the lobster mac and cheese. So much rich flavor that we couldn't finish it. But it'll be a great leftover. I can't stress enough you need to try the surf and turf wrap. Tri tip and shrimp to much inside to describe. You just have to trust me, so good.
