Old Mission Mexican Restaurant

I have a real problem with this place!!! I can’t decide what to eat! I love their steak street tacos, so my last few visits I always order that. Why change something that’s so good? But this last time I tried their enchiladas a la crema.. amazingly tasty! Great food, great service and great atmosphere! As Arnold once said…. ‘I’ll be back!’

Food was pretty good. The taco salad was liquidy. Not sure why. My tacos had very little meat in them but we're tasty. Margarita was very good. Although we could only see 1 other couple here, the waitress was always in a hurry. Although she was very polite, I felt that we were being rushed for some reason. Lots of parking out front. Will give it another try!

As a visitor to Cañon City, I was unfamiliar with the local food scene. Old Mission was on brother’s favorite list, so we happily agreed to eat there. We are really happy that we did. It gave me an opportunity to have chili rellenos in a new to us restaurant. (My favorite dish.) again, REALLY glad that we did! The batter was perfectly brown and crisp. The pepper was very high quality. These rellenos were as good as any I’ve had, and the number of restaurants is getting to be a pretty sizable sample. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. I would be a frequent diner here if I lived in this city. Highly recommend!!!

Really good food. Service was on point. Never ran low on chips or salsa and drinks where topped off. Definitely worth the stop.

The Old Misson Mexican Restaurant is back on my list of eateries in Canon City Colorado.. The service could use a little improvement but the servers are learning and they finally got a great kitchen staff back.. You can taste the different flavors.. The green chili actually has a flavorful kick,not just spicy but actually has flavor.. Nice pieces of tender pork,peppers and onions that blend together to make a savory chili.. The chicken fried steak is moist and tender and make sure you get the fresh grilled veggies.. The Spanish rice is moist, NOT dry and crunchy with just the right amount of tomatoes.. Tacos!!
