The literal - and I mean literal - worst food I’ve ever had. Since we have no cell phone service in the park, we didn’t have any way of reading reviews prior to eating here. Man, I wish we had. This food is INEDIBLE and actually made me sick. I’ve had better food at a neighborhood pool concession stand. I made it simple - I got cheese pizza, breadsticks with marinara; and my husband got a hot dog. The pizza literally looked and tasted like if you put a $5 frozen pizza under your couch for 3 weeks and then took it back out, immediately microwaved it, and then charged $13 for it. You have to tear a bite off with your teeth like a wolf ripping the flesh off its prey. It’s a choking hazard. The secret ingredient is probably leather. My husband’s hot dog - the bun literally cracks and disinte

Old Faithful Lodge Cafeteria & Bake Shop gets a 3 out of 5 rating from me. Here’s the lowdown… What’s Good: The chicken was moist and flavorful—one of the best cafeteria-style proteins I’ve had in Yellowstone The mac and cheese was tasty, and the baked beans were okay You get a great view of Old Faithful while eating, especially from the dining area or the adjacent bake shop seating The staff are friendly and helpful, which makes grabbing a quick meal more pleasant The Not-So-Good: The cafeteria is expensive, as you’d expect in a park setting Food quality is inconsistent—some folks find it underwhelming, even “horrid” according to a former employee Options are limited, especially if you’re looking for something more than standard cafeteria fare . Overall Take: If you need a quick bite w

The place is beautiful and the atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. The cabin vibes are immaculate. The staff were great and on top of cleaning and being kind. The food was low-key mid for the price but I would come again.

Simple cafeteria to grab a quick bite and take a break in the Old Faithful area. It's a cafeteria in a National Park so adjust your expectations accordingly. Several different stations serving different foods. Look around, pick your items, head to the register, and grab any open table.

If there’s one place that proudly takes the crown for the worst food I’ve ever had, this one’s a clear winner. We had about an hour to kill before the next Old Faithful eruption, so we thought, “Why not grab a bite at the Old Faithful Cafe?” I’d read the reviews—yes, I had—but figured, how bad could it really be? Well, turns out… pretty bad. Let’s rewind a bit. I was genuinely excited to see Butter Chicken and Basmati Rice on the menu. I wasn’t expecting gourmet, just something edible. But no, that’s where the surprise decided to jump out and smack me in the face. The rice? So sticky—clearly someone got a little too friendly with the water. And the star of the show, the butter chicken? Let’s just say… it’s best I don’t go into detail. Some things are better left unspoken. If you’re readi
