Old Detroit Bar and Grille Rochester Hills

The place was a classic sports bar with plenty of tvs and swag from the Michigan sports teams. We ordered the whipped feta with pita and it was remarkable. The pita bites were so crispy, the flavors went well together, and it was just the right amount. Ordered fish and chips and a burger. They were both fine. The breading on the fish was tasty, but a bit more than I like personally. Fortunately that’s easy enough to pick off. The onion rings were perfectly done. The only aspect that seems like a miss was the French fries. They are thin cut so it seems promising but they weren’t really hot so they seemed a little stale.

Excellent service and amazing food! Our waitress, Destiny, was incredibly kind and attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. The manager also stopped by our table to check on us, which was such a nice touch and really showed how much they care about their guests. The food was absolutely delicious… I honestly wanted more! I had The Detroit Wrap, with grilled chicken, bacon, and shredded lettuce wrapped in a warm tortilla. It’s served with a side of ranch, but it was so flavorful on its own that I didn’t even need it. We also tried The Michigan Ave Burger, a half-pound Angus burger topped with BBQ pulled pork, cheddar cheese, and crispy onion strings. It was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. I've been to the other Old Detroit bar and grill and enjoyed it. Went here for dinner. They really done a nice job with the decorations in the restaurant. The staff was really attentive helpful when we had questions. The food was really good

Ordered takeout from Detroit Burger Bar hoping to find a new go-to burger spot after Burgrz closed earlier this month. I went with two The Russell Street burgers, requested both medium well — but unfortunately, both arrived very pink inside, much closer to rare than medium well. It was disappointing, especially since I was really looking forward to trying something new. I get that mistakes happen, but with burgers, doneness really matters — especially when you can't just send them back with takeout. I am not sure if it's a one-off, but first impressions count. Not sure if I’ll be back, but I’d be open to giving it another shot if consistency improves

Went to dinner with a group of friends. Waiter continued to bring us the wrong drink. We ordered top shelf margaritas and received long islands. This happened two times! To top it off, the cost of the top shelf margaritas were $35.00 each! Was it a good drink, yes. Was it the best margarita I’ve ever had, no. Definitely not worth $35.00 each. Service was subpar. Atmosphere was nice. Food was decent.
