OLD COUNTRY SAUSAGE

If had authentic sausage in other places but it doesn’t compare to this! Old country has to be the best place to eat some fantastic old country sausage! The owner had actual schooling to prefect the recipe! Every time I come into Boise I come here! 10/10 I would recommend this place!

Little family run market and deli. They are friendly and helpful and appreciative for my patronage. I will return often. Rubin sandwich was delicious....maybe a bit more sauerkraut than my liking but was easy to take a bit off :) But I won't order it any different the next time - maybe I'll develop more of a taste for sauerkraut. Wide selection of house made sausages and other goodies.

The shopkeeper is the German mom you wish you had! Great food, great service. Bring a big appetite if you plan on soloing the two sausage lunch special! The shop also had a nice selection of mustards and kraut. Definitely a gem of a place!

Oh My Gosh I just got home from here and this is without a doubt the best place for sausage in idaho! (I am going to ramble a bit so if you want the summed up version i have it at the bottom ) The owners were really sweet and amazing and very hardworking and they kept checking on me to see if I needed anything EVEN while they were busy! The food was amazing they had without a doubt the best sausage and sauerkraut i have had in my life ( I have never been a huge sauerkraut before but wow) and they had really cool cookies and snacks and I have 100 recipe ideas just from walking through their store. The food is a bit pricey but you get a lot for the price! For the lunch special it was $16 but you get two sausages that you get to choose and big scoops of sauerkeaut and potato salad and every

Food was pretty good and atmosphere was excellent, with a wide variety of European meats and imported goods. Hot food will take a while to be served if you are the first to order it that day. Food is overpriced for its quality; we paid 50$ for two Reuben sandwiches that were very sauerkraut heavy. Keep these things in mind when deciding to come here.
