Old Bucs Barbecue

This a place where they sell their cooked meats by the pound. They provide fixing like home-made pickles, fresh sliced onions, jalapeños and bread. They sell sides and some desserts like banana pudding. There is limited seating inside and some outside seating. It would be hard to accommodate a large sit down crowd. It seems like this a local favorite, very ckean, with many taking to go. I really liked this place. We had the brisket and pork ribs. I also got a mustard potato salad. Yum. My husband noted that while it was good, he missed some of the smoke wood flavor. Mine you, I hate liquid smoke but I dont mind a real hard wood smoke. My husband preferred meat a little hotter in serving temp. Not an issue with me. Staff was great, very polite and friendly. I could see why locals love it. :

Amazing BBQ stop! We stopped in for lunch because of the other great reviews and they were spot on. The burnt ends were some of the best I've ever had, the brisket was excellent and the beef rib was spot on. I would absolutely drive out of the way to stop here. Old Bucs Barbecue easily holds its on when it comes to Texas BBQ!

I thoroughly enjoyed the food at this establishment! I ordered the brisket and beef ribs, which were both exquisite. The ribs had a superb texture and were tender to the bone, while the brisket was cooked to perfection. Although I'm not a fan of potato salad, their version was surprisingly delicious. The mac and cheese and Banana Pudding were also noteworthy. Highly recommended!

This place was pretty good! We’ve been searching for solid barbecue for a while, and this spot definitely takes the top spot in our opinion. The staff was super nice and helpful when we were ordering, which made the experience even better. We got the mac and cheese, brisket, chicken, and beans. The chicken and brisket were both really tender, and the mac and cheese was delicious. We definitely plan on coming back soon!

Great Q! Brisket, Turkey, and a Beef Rib. Beef Rib was the star of the show today. Turkey took second place. The brisket was pretty good too but because the rib was so amazing the brisket fell short. I imagine if I would not have ordered the rib it would have been just as good. They know what they are doing here and probably should be more widely known. Don’t let the exterior fool you. It’s a must try. I will be back.
