Excellent service, the staff is friendly especially Brenda at the bar. She is very kind, patient, and makes great drinks especially specialty drinks. Since I’m not a big drinker, I have a hard time finding something to enjoy, but Brenda is good at understanding what works for you when you explain your tastes. She figures it out even if she has to create something unique for you. As for the food, overall it is good. The rice used for the paellas and similar dishes though seems to be premade which takes away from authentic flavors. Otherwise, everything is very good. I recommend. It’s best to make reservations or go early. Very busy place

It was my first time there. We were a party of 4; 2 adults and 2 children under 10 years old. We ordered the Polpetti, Iberian Octopus, Bacalao Croquettes and Grilled Skirt Steak. The Skirt Steak entree was HUGE, perfectly cooked and delicious. The tapas items were all very delicious as well. My favorite of the 3 was the Iberian Octopus. Our waitress, Michelle, was wonderful and very attentive. I HIGHLY recommend Olar Noso!

HOSPITALITY, CONSISTENCY AND GREAT TASTES the Hallmark Trio of a superb restaurant., I have been a loyal and loving guest of Olar, since it opened in this new location. Matt, and his staff definitely have their finger on the pulse of great taste and fun time. The unique choices of Basque and Italian inspired dishes is truly an astonishing breakaway from the repetitious, boring menus at other establishments strewn throughout Northeast Bergen County. Eating at Olar is a culinary adventure for your tongue. Each and every menu choice is distinctly different in unusual and explosive taste sensation. The plating is alluring to the point of staring at it for a second or two before you desecrate it and leave the plate clean. I ordered the Oxtail empanadas with golden raisins inside for an appetize

My peers and I frequent this establishment every few months when we want to treat ourselves. This place offers a variety from tapas, to pizzas. Normally, our first order is the spanish fries; those are amazing and they always give a healthy amount. They also have a larger option for the Spanish fries, but both come with a ton and I always have enough to take home. My usual order would be one of their wood fire pizzas which never disappoints. My family usually gets the garlic shrimp appetizer which I have mixed feelings about. The flavor is nice, but it comes with the tail on which I am not a fan of. The food always looks quite nice as well which is important because we eat with our eyes first. I have had their pastas, and even some rabbit as I have tried a lot of the options here.
