Oil City Library

Vote NO in November to the Venango county library tax. Our property taxes are high enough and we don't all use the library. We have home Internet, we can buy or rent books online, there is no need to put the bill on the backs on all Venango county residences when the only people that use it are in oil city. Let them raise the funds a different way by charging those who use it.

Best library around, I do visits here and my kids are definitely not quiet library friendly children and they are super accommodating and forgiving especially when it comes to 5 kids under 11. Great book selection, tons of progrmas, a lot of stuff to check out that's not even book related! Private rooms for conferences and visits. The kid sections awesome.

This library is AMAZING! The kids section has so many options, from new stuff to classic stuff from my childhood. It's so much more than just books, lots of things to check out too! Comfy chairs, blocks, tables; for a small town this library is wonderful and the people are too! Alot of good positive excitement from the staff, and EXCELLENT suggestions were made. Worth a visit, truly a place that people enjoy and care about.

Every year theres a chilli cook off either inside the basement or outside on the front stoop. Its amazing. Its only 5 dollars to try a bunch of beans. The books here are in good condition. The staff are young, helpful and friendly. They have internet. It's a great library.
