OHANA Hawaiian BBQ

Surprisingly good food, decent price for now days. Server not too friendly, service with "attitude", paid more attention to her phone. Wife enjoyed her dish, said it had good flavor. Mine was dry meat, over cooked? Had decent flavor, NOTHING like what we get st home on the islands.

Food was ok. Do not drink the tap water. They should warn people if they want tap water. Also a 3% charge if using a debt card. Small portions Was worth trying. Kitchen was busy so I believe it was the Owner toom our order. It was super fast. My fish looked like big fish Stix and 4 shrimp. Vegetables was all cabbage and 2 peices of broccoli. For each dinner.

This place is our weekly go to when we dont feel like cooking. Teriyaki Chicken Plate with a side of Mac salad is our favorite. Counter associates are always friendly but serious. We do try to pay cash so we dont have to pay the "pass back" fee. Oh, and the salad dressing is so good.

Though I am half Japanese (my mom was born & raised in Japan), Hawaii and Japan share much in the way of food. I ordered the Chicken Katsu and it was excellent….the thinness of the cutlet was just right, the chicken was tender and fried to a perfect golden tanned with that unmistakeable crisp and crunch of that panko crust. Rice may seem simple to most but your rice reminded me of home….it was my chore to wash the rice for every meal so I can say I so appreciated the perfection of the rice (👏🏻), and lastly, the macaroni salad, so glad I ordered extra, is awesome - could use a hint of Kewpie mayo and thinly shaved Japanese cucumbers - but dang me I dig it big time!
