Off The Rails Mexican Cantina is a gem tucked into downtown Buford, offering an inviting blend of Old West charm and warm hospitality. The interior sets the mood immediately with its rustic Western theme, highlighted by beautiful stained glass windows that cast colorful light across the cozy space. The menu is diverse and thoughtfully priced, featuring all the Mexican favorites you’d expect, and then some. Every dish is made from scratch, right down to the ice cream that comes with the rich, decadent chocolate flan. The portions are generous without being over the top, though we still found ourselves trying to keep up! The beef soup is especially noteworthy, deeply flavorful with melt-in-your-mouth tender beef. I really want to like this place. 2nd try. Had to ask for napkins and silverware after appetizers arrived. Refill of drinks-had to ask. Asked for lemon- had to ask a second time. Chips hard, guacamole very oniony. Meals were fantastic. Yet, again drinks are empty. Open area, very loud, but ok. The wait staff have opportunities...From hostess to those dropping off food and the main server. A smile and look like you enjoy your position!

Best spot. Good food. Love the thinner tortilla chips. The tacos were well seasoned and the avocado sauce was SO tasty. The burrito has the most steak we’ve ever gotten in any burrito. Sweet waitress with a good personality. No wait. Sat right away.

This was our family’s first time visiting. The food, service, & ambiance were all amazing! Loved all of the wood, brick, sculptures, and stained glass in the restaurant. Our server, Ryan (first name Christopher) was one of the best we’ve ever had!! We will definitely be back, and will ask for him!

Came here with my sister and mom, got the Sopa De Pollo, and let me tell you. The service, food, AND atmosphere are all amazing. Sweetest people ever, best food I think I’ve had, and the atmosphere just gives off awesome vibes!! 10/10 would recommend to anyone that likes Mexican food.
