I had not eaten here in a while and couldn't remember why until I got home with my order. I ordered me, my husband and my child food. I ordered my child a cheeseburger basket with only ketchup and pickles. We got the food and left for home so my child could start on their homework. When we got there I opened the bag and my child's food was of course the one on the bottom. I opened it to find mayo, slaw, tomato and who knows what else on it. Never did see the pickle. So I called back up there and was told to come back.....seriously?? I live across town and we had already started settling for the night and they want us to load back up drive all the way back through town up 89 because they didn't listen when I gave my order which the boy repeated back to us correctly. I’m from Mount Airy but have lived all over the state. I’ve eaten at Odell’s for decades. My family knows that when I come home, my FIRST stop will be for an Odell’s fish sandwich!! Theirs are the best in the world!! Service is quick and friendly and the nostalgia is of course an added bonus. Order yourself a fish sandwich! You won’t regret it!!

I have been eating at Odell’s since I was a little girl. They have always had great service and food. We hung in there during their transition period and it was worth it. The food now is as good as it was from years ago. Friendly staff and delicious food, definitely worth trying out if you’ve never eat there before!!

Love this nostalgic drive-up sandwich shop. My family has been coming here for years. My mom used to work here back in the 50s so it has been around forever. GROUND STEAK SANDWICHES ARE THEIR SPECIALTY, but everything is great. My favorite place to eat in Mount Airy.
