Oberlin Public Library

I'm not sure there's a better library in terms of the atmosphere. It's a feeling of warmth, of fun, of community.Love all the art. The ladies at the help desks are so kind.

Had a very pleasant experience at OPL. Very sweet and kind lady who sits at Information desk. I moved to Oberlin 2 weeks ago and wanted to print some pages and she was very helpful to show me everything step by steps how to print the pages and did not leave until she knew I was comfortable with the use of the system.

This library is amazing!! I drive from Elyria! I loved it when I lived in Oberlin, so why not come to an amazing library where the kids love it as much as I do!

One of the most important buildings in town. They will do everything in their power to help you, whether it's to find a book, a place to live, rent an instrument, or just a quiet place to study.

The staff used to be friendly, helpful, and kind to me, but since I spoke up against a CRUEL chick hatching program the library had in late April 2023, making known the chicks' suffering and misery I had personally witnessed during the awful event, most of those staff members treat me coldly and/or scornfully now. I've even been verbally assaulted. I'm a regular, friendly, and respectful patron of the OPL, so this is inexcusable. It's a sad statement when people who speak up for innocent, helpless victims of ugly exploitation and cruelty are treated this way. I wish I could say that I felt safe inside this library, but that would not be the truth.
