Gibson's Food Mart & Bakery

The interior of the food mart has definitely changed since last I walked in, which was over 10 years ago when I was a student at the College, but that's not necessarily bad. I do appreciate how nowadays, the staff offer shipping options for their confectionaries, so now I can enjoy them from across the country. It does require me to recall from memory what they had behind the counter, though.

The person behind the counter didn't even acknowledge me when I entered the store. When they finally got around to helping me (it took forever, and the store was not busy), they acted put out, like I was bothering them by just being there. They didn't so much as smile. Don't waste your time here. Gibson's doughnuts are as dry and unpleasant as their staff.

Never been there, but I live in Michigan, so the next time I go thru I will be sure to stop in!! I am placing an order online... can't wait to get those delicious cookies!! Thank you for not backing down!! We need more strong, kind, loving of ALL man and country, hard working people like you!! You're an inspiration!! Congrats on your win! And God Bless!! Update: 9/10/2022 I just received my butter cookies with chocolate fudge. OMG!! They are absolutely delicious! Ironically I just sat down with a cup of coffee when my post lady showed up with my cookies. PERFECT TIMING!! THANK YOU!!

The staff are so incredibly rude. They don't acknowledge you when you walk in. They don't bother to ask if they can help or provide any recommendations. Bro, who peed in your coffee? I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt after hearing so many negative comments from the Oberlin community, but I have to say...they're not wrong. Don't go here.

Love Gibson's Bakery, a nostalgic place that's a true asset to Oberlin Ohio! They make delicious freshly made doughnuts, homemade candy, ice cream, nuts, etc.... scrumptious treats for everyone! Employees are always welcoming and helpful! #SatisfiedCustomer
