Oak & Barrel

I really wanted to like this place. The food was good and the family liked it. Pro's: 1. Food cooked well 2. Seasoning was good 3. Quality of food was good 4. Atmosphere is good 5. Family friendly Con's: 1. Service was really bad. 2. Appetizer was never brought to us. 3. They were out of majority of Appetizers 4. Asked for butter and got a sliver (See picture) 5. Very expensive (over $100) formally portions 6. Waitress came by only twice. If I'm spending over $100 for a family of four, at least check on us during our meal, get us our Appetizers, and for the love, more than s sliver of butter.

Visiting from Visiting from Chicago where we have some of the best restaurants on the planet, and hands down this place can easily easily compete with any of the top rated restaurants in Chicago! Let's not forget our server Dustin. He was on his game, extremely polite and friendly and made us out of towner's feel extremely welcomed! Highly recommend anyone passing through stop here for the best meal you've had in a long long time!!!

Best food! Portions are large and exceptional. They have a variety of specials, as well as a solid menu. Cassi is the best server! She makes recommendations based on what she thinks I will like and is always spot on. She keeps my drink refilled (which is hard). Speed of service is always just right and they offer take home family meals for 4-5 for only $39. Amazing place for whatever you are craving. Good for a quick lunch or a romantic dinner.

My family loves Oak and Barrel! The food is always delicious and the service is excellent. My husband took me to Oak and Barrel for our date last night. Our waitress Tiffany was great. She explained the specials well and helped me pick a yummy cocktail. My husband had the New York frites steak and I had the Thai stir fry with chicken. For desssrt we had the brownie cheesecake. We left happy and full. If you're visiting Monticello Oak and Barrel is a must try.

Tried to enjoy a steak dinner for my husband’s birthday. Filet ordered medium was served well done, the NY Strip ordered Med Rare, was well done. When we showed the waiter- his response was “what do you want me to do about it?” Since we sat there for 1 hour and 10 minutes waiting on dinner- my response was “nothing!” So not recommended! Just paid 100 on 2 dinners where the meat was overcooked and the potatoes were cold.
