Though the word ‘vegan’ technically means “believer of vegetation”, that same word has been associated with food of utter tastelessness, meat copycat fails, and chewing on tree bark with a smile because it’s good for you. But whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or not, these people here are visionaries who have made an art out of bringing flavorful plant-based items. I gave them the old college try and ordered different menu items at different times. ALL were excellent. The owner (Melissa) is quite approachable and knowledgeable. The two-person staff is hardworking and dedicated. This place is uniquely tucked inside of the giant Wapakoneta Y facility, but it’s a straight shot past the main entrance. Fabulous, healthy food! I’m from out of town and was so thankful there was this place to stop in and grab a bite to eat. The butternut squash sandwich was 🔥 and so was the açaí sorbet bowl. The owner was super friendly too! Definitely try this place if you’re in town.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The food is amazing!! It tastes great but it also makes you feel great. Love the healthy ingredients and variety! We have tried a variety of smoothies and they are all 10/10. But, it’s truly the people who work there that make it. I always come in with my young boys and the workers are always so incredibly kind to us. They have been more than helpful on numerous occasions when I’m trying to handle food and small children. Highly recommend!!

On business traveling through Ohio and landed in Celina. Googled vegan restaurants near me and lo and behold I found the Wellness Cafe and what a find it was. I’m currently on a very strict diet due to a cancer diagnosis…Alisha made me an amazing salad that had everything I was hoping to get, and then some. Even the dressing she made was perfect! Thank you so much for the salad and great conversation, you made my night! You need to give this a try if you’re in the area, you won’t be disappointed!

Love this place. The hard work and true passion for using quality ingredients really show in her cooking. I have yet to try everything but is a goal of mine! Cant go wrong with any of the post-workout smoothies or healthy bowls/wraps/sandwiches. A true local gem worth supporting.
