Northwoods Cafe

This is one of the type of places I love to visit on a trip. Small town atmosphere and prices. Friendly servers, good food. Actually are my food before I snapped a couple of photos. 😆 The pancakes were outstanding. Good texture, flavor, and size.

We were looking for breakfast and the reviews looked good. Nice small friendly place. Local establishment, no waiting. Great breakfast! Traded my toast for a pancake as big as a supper plate. We shared it because there was so much food. Quick service and the wait staff were genuine and happy. If we lived in the area, I would be back every week.

Ordered over easy eggs, sausage, hashbrown, white toast, and 1 pancake. Good food. I would go again. This place is cash only at the moment. I wasn't aware until I ready to pay where I had to ran over to atm to get cash. This place do have a sign mentioned cash only, no debit/credit cards avaliable at the moment. HOWEVER, it is not eye catching. It is on the sign of hours, under the times list. I would recommended separate sign about cash only make it more eye catching, for the first time goers. Overall, highly recommended this place!

Stopped here for the first time from the recommendation of a Google review. Welllll.... the food was great. Ordered the hot roast beef sandwich. The potatoes were hot and real mashed, the gravy was good - not too salty, and the roast beef was flavorful. The service was barely mediocre.... slow, had no drink refills, not checked on. I was served ice water with old hashbrown bits in it. The atmosphere was different than I'm used to. Now, when you look people in the eye, say hello, how are you gentleman doing, and they look at you and say nothing is extremely rude. Very small-town mentality. Us Out-of-towners didn't feel welcomed. Unfortunate. Small restaurant that could use upgrades. It was good food, but I believe there are better places that you could visit in the area.

Very nice "hole in the wall" cafe. I arrived with my wheelchair bound father and some nice customers actually moved to a booth so he could sit at the table where his chair fits Perfectly done food Slightly oversized portions. Great tasting food ! Nice atmosphere. Fast , accurate service.
