BNC's Cafe

Ordered food to go since I had to be on the road. I got fried steak with eggs and american fries. Nothing was seasoned. Not even a sprinkle of pepper. Everything is so bland. I also got 1 pancake. This pancake tasted like paper. Is was not good. On top of it all they did not give utensils or napkins. For my pancake there was no syrup. Not a place I will ever return or recommend to anyone. This place is for people that dont have any taste buds left. It was so gross I couldn't even finish it.

Jan's Place is a lovely little diner just of the main road in Alexandria, relatively unassuming and tucked away, easy to miss but impossible to forget once you have found it. The food is superb, with generous portions and quality ingredients. We had a simple breakfast, and it was perfect, well prepared and filling, each bite better than the last. The staff, including the owner Jan, are very friendly and welcoming, creating a warm, communal atmosphere. I would definitely come here again if I happen to be in the Alexandria area, I'd love to try any number of the diverse menu items available for lunch and dinner. 💙

Loved it! A really nice small town hole in the wall breakfast place with amazing food and service. Jan was helping us and she was awesome. The pancakes were huge and delicious. The price and portion were amazing. Make sure to check out the random signage around the place, they are hilarious and a lot of fun to read. Glad we stopped by and would definitely go back the next time we're in town.

Really great experience! Food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. Will be returning!! Recommend the "hangover" which was a huge pancake stuffed with blueberries, sausage and ham with two eggs how you like 'em on top. ♡

We ventured in after looking for a breakfast place after typical breakfast hours, and BNC’s delivered! Not only did they accommodate my dairy intolerance, but they provided a meal that was positively amazing! The cinnamon French toast was perfectly done, not too sweet, with just the right amount of cinnamon, and my eggs were delicious. Hubby had a patty melt and was not disappointed with his portions. The crinkle cut French fries were amazing, crisp, not a bit oily, done to absolute fry perfection. I encourage everyone to give these new owners a try and see for yourself what it means to provide a good variety of meal options at a very good price! YUM! 10/10 will be back!!
