Northvale Classic Diner

We picked this diner for a Sunday brunch, went there around 11am. They had a huge dining space, so we got a table right away. The interior was modern, full of sunlight, and cozy setup. It turned to be the Jazz Sunday, which is second Sunday of every month. The band was right in front of us and performed multiple songs. I recognized the spiderman and pink panther theme songs. The menu was huge, full breakfast, brunch and regular lunch (after 11am) dishes. They also had lots of specialty drinks and shakes. I ordered the trio fajitas. It took about 20 minutes for the dish to come out. Among the trio, shrimp was my favorite, followed by chicken and beef. All them were mixed delicious grilled onion, peppers and sauce. This place has a good old school vibes. It is not modern but feels comfortable and good is okay. Not a huge fan of pancakes here but their sandwiches are good. Also servers were visible and asked if I needed anything often whole I was here and refilled my coffee many times.

I honestly think these 5 star reviews must be fake or from people who don’t know about good food. My friend and I walked in Saturday night to eat dinner and we decided to get “nachos” as an appetizer and we received a plate of store bought chips with a load of cheese, onion, and tomato. The guacamole tasted bottled also, 2/10 I ordered a “Greek chicken” wrap and it tasted like nothing. It was just unseasoned chicken with feta cheese, no taste of it being Greek at all. On top of that when my friend asked for a soda refill, the waitress took only about 15 min to bring it, mind you they were not busy at all. They also have a board in the entrance where they have 50% off apps, 9-11 and the waitress didn’t honor it. In all honestly our tab wasn’t worth $80 but that’s on us for going based off t

The owner Nikola and his team were phenomenal. Great atmosphere, super friendly & even better food. The homey feel and quick/ attentive service made the experience great! We’ll definitely be back and I’d recommend it to anyone and everyone. Thanks y’all!
