Northside Grill

6 friends and I met at Northside from all over OK and TX last Sunday. Our server was GREAT! She was patient with us. She took group photos! She never hurried us at all. She kept the water flowing for over 2 hours while we visited. Some of us hadn't seen each other since 1975. I really appreciate Northside making our little reunion a success.

The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious! Fast service, and friendly staff. Dining room is a little tight at rush hours but overall not a bad experience. Highly recommend the Cajun catfish, and the zucchini fries but so far all the meals we’ve purchased have been on point!!

From the reviews, I had my hopes up I initially. Pictures and menu looked nice, and then we arrived, AC was blasting and fans were all on. It’s 70 outside. Oh well. Everyone was friendly enough, but our initial hostess was fairly dismissive and didn’t offer us kids menu. No biggie. Our waitress was kind enough, took our order. Didn’t we didn’t get to check on for 15 minutes. Party’s continued to come in. When we were finally check on, we were told fryers had been down and our food was cold now and needed to be remade, and our daughter’s food was just now going down. My duaghter is a T1D. We dose her before meals. I said “no thanks” and got up for us to leave. Waitress said I needed to pay for our drinks. Whatever. Took a few more minutes for them to cash me out. We came in and were ignored. Finally put in our drink order, then food and appetizer order. Meal and appetizer arrived at the same time. Both were cold. Never got our drinks and asked they be taken off our check. Was told by our waitress oh, they’ve been sitting over there for a while. They tried to bring us those drinks as we were leaving. I used to love eating here and hadn’t been in several months. Not as good as I remembered.

Nice place with lots of TVs all around. It's more like a sports bar. The service is friendly but slow. Our server seemed to forget about us for a while. The food is not what I expected going in. Weird burger menu with a hot dog, a couple of wraps, some sandwiches, salads and then Mexican food. No chicken fried steak or chicken. More sports bar type foods. I settled for the common cheese burger and fried okra. The okra was good, the sweet tea was excellent but the burger was terrible. Mostly no flavor at all and way overcooked. The meat was tasteless and as dry as boot leather. I wanted to love this place but just didn't. A $30 lunch ticket should be at least good. I can't say I'll ever go back for a second chance. By the way, the online menu has more items listed than the actual menu does.
