North Shore Seafood Co

So lucky to have this seafood outlet in my town! They always have what I’m looking for and something else that inspires a great and unexpected meal. Number one: Fresh! Number two: Fun! Just chit chatting over fish and what not with these guys is half the draw. I love that they have Monk fish on the regular, because it’s so approachable (in addition to all the usual offerings). Plus oysters and lobster and the *lamentably* expensive scallops (not their fault but what is the actual deal with the price of scallops anyway?!), so great! My wife and I are ramping up on the fishes dishes because they are always bringing it. We just made an NYT Cooking recipe called “Lemony Fish and Orzo Soup” with their Monk fish and clam juice and it was awesome!!! A deliciously rich and yet dairy free chowDAH

Yes, you need cash. But the quality and selection far surpases anything at the grocery stores and is usually the same price or even cheaper. Having lived on Cape Cod for over a decade, I really appreciate this place.

While not a large fish market, all the standards are there. Quality is excellent - as good as living on the coast. CASH or LOCAL CHECK only - no cards accepted.

I was raised on the water and fished lobsters. Seafood degrades the moment it leaves the ocean. This is the closest to “off-the-boat” I’ve ever enjoyed. They go to Boston and pick their fish fresh and bring it back to us. They cut to order and know how to handle seafood (never directly on ice always in a stainless steel pan on ice!). And their prices are sometimes less than the supermarket. As far as I’m concerned all else (except for those knowledgeable fish mongers on the coast) is cat food.

Freshest fish and the best prices. Everytime we go there we feel like family not like a customer absolutely love this place!
