North Fork Table & Inn

Loved everything about this place! The duck was incredible — super juicy and tender inside with the perfect crispy skin on the outside. The mixed grill came with five different kinds of fish, each cooked perfectly and full of its own unique flavor. The sauce was amazing — kind of like a rich fish broth with layers of flavor that are hard to describe but so, so good. The apple pie with meringue was such a fun surprise — fresh, soft, and had just the right bit of crunch. Our server was really attentive, and the decor was beautiful but not pretentious — just a warm, classy vibe all around. Definitely one of the best meals I’ve had on the North Fork!

We were visiting dear friends who have been to this restaurant before and enjoyed it. Unfortunately the service and quality of the food was less than perfect. Our waiter was actually excellent, however it couldn't make up for the poor timing. We ordered drinks when we first sat down along with our dinner choices. The restaurant was not overly crowded. It took a good 20-25 minutes to get our drinks (1 beer, 1 glass of wine and 2 gin & tonics). We had just started sipping on them, when our first course arrived. ||None of us had planned on sipping on our cocktails with our first course. Our entrees arrived not long after the appetizers were put out and were mediocre at best. Mixed feelings about this place. Made early reservations for a Valentine’s Day dinner, 5 PM. We arrived at 4:55. They were already two other couples ahead of us and I heard the host (I think he is the manager) pretty much admonish the people before us for arriving early because they were not ready yet. He did the same to us. This is pretty appalling, considering the target customer base for upscale, small dining restaurant. Chastising guests for arriving five minutes early is rude beyond words and left an immediate poor impression on us. We were seated to the right of the fireplace along the back of the dining room. This was a nice cozy location, however, there was literally 5 inches or less between the three small tables they crammed along this wall. This was completely a result of greed

Our experience with The North Fork Table & Inn was a bit of a rollercoaster. Throughout the seven months of planning our wedding, communication was unfortunately inconsistent and, at times, quite unprofessional. The process often felt frustrating and unclear, which made what should have been an exciting time far more stressful than anticipated. That said, toward the end of the planning process, Kate the event manager and Marc property manager truly turned things around. Their involvement brought a noticeable change — they were attentive, responsive, and genuinely dedicated to making sure our day went smoothly. In the end, everything came together beautifully. NEVER AGAIN!! my husband and I always came here at least once a year for either a birthday or anniversary celebration. We noticed the service and portions decrease over the years. We haven’t been there in two years and decided to try it again. My husband made a reservation, didn’t realize he was making one for outdoor outdoors, but why would you have outdoor reservations for the end of October? when we arrive, they told us it was an outdoor reservation, and said would you like to see what it is like outside. We said yes. We went outside and it was windy and freezing. We said I don’t think this will work. They did not try to accommodate us in anyway. We live in Southold and often go out to dinner.
