If you want a truly authentic Chinese noodle flavor, this is the place. Out of the tens of other places I have tried, this is the only restaurant in Baton Rouge able to create a flavor so identical to what’s actually in the mainland. The broth is deep yet refreshing, the beef so incredibly tender, and the noodles perfectly absorbing the broth’s flavor but maintaining a nice chew. I would go so far as to say if you want noodles in general, this place beats out literally anywhere else on pure quality and cost. HIGHLY recommend. (pic. Lanzhou Beef Noodle with some chili oil) (~$13.49)

Woke up midday on a Saturday craving stir fried noodles. I’ve been meaning to try this place and Im glad I decided on it today. This place was exactly what I was looking for! The star of the show was the FRIED CHICKEN WINGS - whatever seasoning is on that onion pepper mixture in the middle of the plate is out of this world! The crab cheese wontons are homemade I believe. Never had better ones, fr. The Mongolian beef stir fried noodles were spicy and had a perfect texture on everything on the plate. Also the lady who served us was very polite and sweet. She made sure to keep our drinks full and even packed our to-go boxes for us. She was a delight. LASTLY the atmosphere. The vibes. It was my kinda place! It was clean and taken care of, nothing fancy - can get to-go or table service. They ha

The garlic shrimp were amazing and perfectly cooked the spice and seasoning level were very comforting rich and light at the same tine. The mongolian beef was super tender and the peppers were not overly cooked nothing needed a sauce it had its own complex flair. The Shanxi knife sliced noodle soup was nice and the broth was rich and deep the pickled veggie added the most amazing acidity what a balncde. Perfect for the cold rainy night. I also enjoyed the shrimp fried rice great portion sizes for the price. I would definelty take the 30 min ride to get there many days.

So this place is very interesting because they mix elements of American and Korean and even Japanese into the food here. Definitely the most authentic Chinese, Cantonese, spot Baton Rouge has seen though not every item is authentic in the menu. Really reminds me of China town, although not perfect, but it’s there. Service was great, they made sure our drinks were full. Kinda funny we had to ask for chopsticks though since the default utensil was forks. Had the spicy fried pork, which was basically the Chinese-Korean tangsuyuk, but only missing the sweet and sour sauce. It was well fried, crispy, and came out piping hot. Covered with a bunch of diced peppers, and was quite affordable for $8. Would like it to be spicier though. The spicy beef salad, which was liangban niurou, was quite go

Came for take out on our way back to Covington from Baton Rouge. Friendly staff. Quiet restaurant in the afternoon. Pretty authentic Chinese food for someone from Nor Cal. A bit on the sweet side for my taste.
