Bayes Oyster Bar

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic. The customer service was exceptional, and I particularly wanted to commend the oyster shucker cash. My server was incredibly friendly and attentive. The oysters were perfectly shucked, with not a single shell left behind. The gator sandwich was also an amazing dish.

This is still their opening week and I am very impressed at everything. The quality of their oysters, the great drink specials, and their very friendly employees—this is a one of a kind place that focuses on the oysters themselves (take a look at this menu). It’s worth trying even just a few of them, or even going for the drinks and great atmosphere!

Bayes on BR is an absolute gem in Baton Rouge. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service really stood out. Demi, in particular, went above and beyond — attentive, friendly, and genuinely made the experience better. You can tell she cares about making sure guests are taken care of, not just doing a job. If you’re looking for a place with great vibes, solid food, and top-tier service, Bayes on BR is worth it. Ask for Demi — you won’t be disappointed.

Cash did a great job shucking the oysters! They were cleaned well and the cook did a great job cooking them. We had the Bienville and the Brie and bacon. Will be back and will recommend.

Service was very good and the oysters were delicious. We had the Nola BBQ and the Bacon and Brie. Happy hour from 3-6 on cocktails, beer and wine. I would recommend this location.
