No Filter (formerly Ugly Mug) in Garner feels like a great breakfast and brunch spot that also happens to serve coffee. The drink menu is huge, and it’s clearly geared more toward flavored latte lovers than coffee purists. If you like creative, dessert-style drinks, you’ll have plenty to choose from. Drinks: I ordered a cortado, but it came out more like a breve. Not a big deal, but not quite what I was expecting. I also tried The Alchemist — an iced latte with white chocolate, English toffee, and raspberry. It was enjoyable, but definitely flavor-forward, with the syrups taking center stage more than the espresso. Food: This is where the place really shines. Amazing experience at Ugly Mug Coffee Shop! We came in with a party of 5 adults and 2 kids, and everything was fantastic. The food was delicious and the coffee was excellent. The service really stood out; James took great care of us he was friendly, attentive and made us feel very welcome. We’re excited to hear they’re opening a new location and are already looking forward to visiting again. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 recommend!! The Mediterranean chicken sandwich hit the spot (the fries were so dang good) as did the avocado toast. The grandsons ordered chicken and waffles and I must confess, I’m glad I was asked to cut it up for them because I got to try a bite. YUMMY!!!

First time visit. Was out exploring after a snow fall and wanted to find a new coffee shop that had espresso and custom coffee. This place is set back off the main road a small but cozy setting, offering a wide array of coffee delights, Breakfast and lite lunches. A well planned out small business with just the right toch of coziness. Excellent espresso, the smell of fresh beans sparks your sensors. The staff, is down to earth, friendly and willing to explain the difference of coffees, and such. Definitely worth the stop.

Loved it! French toast on the right. Blt with fried green tomato on the left. Those fries and sauce were amazing. Spoke to the owners, they were super friendly. Loved the whole vibe!

Lemon cake and coffee is a good way to start the morning! In a study performed by me today, coffee has been scientifically proven to increase rates of enjoyment of matutinal activity. Decorated for the season and walking a perfect line between busy and quiet enough to relax. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.
