Had amazing fish and chips but came with regular fries instead of the chips and salmon order had the right side. Order was wrong . The crème brute was goodness.Bear had detergent taste, some others not available and peach drink was bad.

I've been wanting to go here for years! I finally went the other day and was blown away. I had the cod, rice, and brussel sprouts. I was thinking I was getting grilled cod but should have known that it would be fried. Hello, I'm at a tavern! I'm not sure how they did it but it still felt light instead heavy how fried fish can be. The rice was the best rice I've had and the brussel sprouts with the apple was delightful. Highly recommend giving NT a try.

I’ve been here several times for dinner and lunch. Great location in the heart of Niwot, parking is ok though it can get full simply because of all the shops and restaurants in this area. Staff is always friendly and we get great service and they have a nice menu with several options. This time we came for lunch and I got the Salmon sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. My friend wanted grilled cheese which was only on the kids menu but the waitress was able to get her one with a choice of American Cheese or 3 cheese blend. Our other friend got their grilled chicken salad. The food seemed to take a little longer than usual but fortunately we weren’t in a rush. My sandwich was very tasty with a nice juicy piece of salmon and the fries were delicious as well. Overall a nice lunch with

The Niwot Tavern is a favorite among the locals. My friend and I had a late breakfast early lunch there at around noon on Saturday. The restaurant was pretty empty at that time and we sat outside at a table under an umbrella. I had a gyros which was phenomenal really in taste and in looks. Jewels had a salad with spinach and said that her dressing was a bit on the mustardy side. Their prices are a bit high, especially for lunch however, the food was very fresh and I appreciate that fact. Sometimes you just gotta spend extra to have fresh, tantalizingly yummy food.

Service was really upbeat and friendly, but no check-ins for drinks even sitting at the bar. Food came out super fast, but not in like a super fresh way. I really didn’t enjoy the meatloaf entree, but the Cuban was much better. Everything was really gray and bland besides the corn (?) it was served with. Pretty cool bar area, though. Definitely got a locals-only vibe.
