Customer Reviews
This place is a gem! I love stopping for a meal or a quick snack. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, inviting you to stay and chat with friends over coffee. The staff are very welcoming, and the food is delicious. I appreciate that the pastries are not too sweet - you can taste the flavor, not just the sugar. You can tell that there is a lot of care put into the baked goods, sandwiches and salads. Everything I have tried has been delicious. I also love to browse the selection of Finnish gift items available. Please put prices on your menu and baked goods, though!
Cute and cozy place to pop in, have a nice warm beverage, lunch, or dessert snack. Assortment of books at the entrance of you want to read and sit on the couch to relax. Very polite staff, and fair prices. There’s a small gift section as well if you’re looking for locally made items. Really love this place, it was a very relaxing visit.
My husband and I decided to share the Nordic Spruce Sandwich and the Swedish Shrimp Sandwich. I wish we both went with the Nordic Spruce sandwich instead. That sandwich was amazing and the rye bread was the softest bread I’ve ever had. I wish I could’ve bought just a loaf of that. On the flip side, I wouldn’t call the other sandwich a sandwich(well maybe an open face sandwich, but that’s not in the description). It was a piece of bread with the sandwich toppings on it. It made it difficult to eat, the toppings would just fall off the bread. I would’ve rather pay $2.00 less for the larger sandwich.
Quiet little cafe with some simple sandwich, baked good and salad fare, I had the egg muffin and the chevre and pear salad. The muffin was very tasty with chunks of spinach, ham, and peppers and nice toasty cheese on top. The salad was out of this world. The ingredients were fresh and vibrant, all the fruit was tangy, and it was filling. They also have a small collection of soaps, lotions, jewelry and coffee for sale.
Yes please! We we had breakfast then went up for pastry and then had the cake! Edit: We came back to town, and this was our first stop!! We had one of everything and then some. We were lucky enough to get the chocolate croissant right out of the oven...so we got 4!
