What a great suprise! I ordered a beef casa dia and it was fantastic! Staff was friendly and the dinning area was very clean.

Absolutely delicious meatball sandwich, and the sweet potato fries were just right. Love how it's a down to earth atmosphere and the waitress was so nice. I will be back again. I am not one for fancy restaurants so this place was definitely my type.

Visiting family in Madison. Very clean place with friendly fast service. Large waffle lightly browned with fresh berries. Bacon and eggs done right. Better price than chain restaurants. I will go there whenever I am visiting.

The service was so slow. We got there before the people who sat behind us, and for some reason our waitress decided to take their orders first, serve them first, and give them their checks first. They ordered a lot more food than we did and yet theirs was made before ours. I guess the waitress was picking favorites. I had to ask her for our check even though we had clean plates and she gave the check to other tables around us finishing up at the same time. The food was mediocre at best, and very bland. My family has been going to Nick's Place for over 30 years and have had nothing but amazing experiences that have made us return time after time. Today we went in very excited to return and had a negative experience as soon as we entered. The busser was extremely kind and helped us get to our table with cutlery and then we were not tended to or spoken to by anyone else. The two waitresses present were openly talking negatively about other staff members and how they did not want to take anymore tables. When we got tended to our waitress was openly yelling at a customer's table next to ours which made our time uncomfortable.
