Nick The Greek

I stopped by Nick the Greek on East Main and really enjoyed my visit. It’s a clean, casual spot right in the heart of downtown Ventura with a relaxed vibe, nice outdoor seating, and great Greek music playing that adds to the atmosphere. I went with a gyro plate and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The meat was tender, the fries were hot and well-seasoned, and the tzatziki was a real standout — cool, creamy, and perfectly balanced. It brought everything together and made the whole plate pop. I stopped in about an hour after lunchtime, so it wasn’t busy, which made it easy to order and enjoy a laid-back meal. Amazing find! Wanted something different than burgers and pizzas and still affordable. Stumbled into Nick the Greek and we are so happy we did. Great atmosphere, paired with amazing staff that help inform you of all your options. Definitely coming back! Also, the garlic fries are some of the best I’ve ever had :D

We were looking for a quick bite between shopping and this was perfect. We got the gyro plate with a chicken skewer and it was delicious. It wasn’t overly filling but it was very flavorful. Only thing I’d recommend is a little more garlic in the tzatziki. We will be back!

I’ve tried the gyro bowl once and it was delicious!! Today, I made an order of a pita chicken and its pure delight to have since it’s not too heavy or bland to taste. Def recommend!!

I come here all the time. The food, the drinks, The Dubai chocolate, the Customer service. Everything is excellent. The food is always fresh and delicious. Tables are always clean and well maintained. Prices are reasonable and the music is great.
