New York Fried Chicken

Ordered a large amount of food for a local group and 5 minutes before delivery, this place CANCELLED the order and “closed” the store. The order was scheduled at 1pm this afternoon and they waited until the exact delivery time which was 5 hours after the order was placed, to cancel it. All this AFTER a delivery person was assigned and on the way to pick up. Guess I should’ve checked the Google rating before ordering. That says everything. Save your money and buy from a business that’s upstanding and has integrity because you won’t find that here. 😕

First visit, ordered a 5 piece with fries and a drink. Fries were plain but cooked well. The chicken looked good, the breading was crispy and had light seasoning but needed more salt. Chicken tasted bland as well. Their wing dings might be better as some have told me but not impressed at all with their fried chicken. A bit pricey compared to other places. Good customer service. No public restrooms so I couldn’t check that out.

Not sure what's happening with this place it used to be so good. Now the fries are always soggy and the chicken taste so off , it's crunchy but has like a burnt flavor but no seasoning. The catfish was my favorite and this time around the fish was so over fried. Sad. The lady at the counter is always so friendly and she suggests the best dessert, so far the cheesecake has not disappointed and neither has the chocolate cake.

I ordered delivery tonight for my birthday meal. I could not be happier with the food. It was piping hot and so delicious - catfish, pepper poppers and onion rings. And bonus, the delivery dude was super nice!! Thank you NYFC in Benton Harbor for making my birthday even better.

I had very friendly service here. I was impressed by the number of any options and that they were able to cook a variety of items very well. Definitely not just chicken which I did not actually know. I do wish that there may have been some more descriptions about menu items. We ordered three different items. I think their fries are Sublime. Chicken tenders were a little bit dry. Philly cheese steak sandwiches where messy which in my book equals yummy
