New Phở 999

This place is the real deal. The pho hits every time… rich broth, fresh toppings, huge portions. Egg rolls are crispy, grilled meats are packed with flavor, and the vermicelli bowls are solid. Oh and the Vietnamese coffee? Careful… it’s tasty but so strong it might have you running laps around your neighborhood.

Great food and lovely atmosphere. The elderly man was very kind and was working the entire time I was eating. He would refill the sauces and clean the tables nonstop, so hardworking. I got the #8 which was delicious.

My Valley Tradition – The Best Pho at New Phở 999 I mostly work in downtown Los Angeles, but on the days when work brings me to the San Fernando Valley, I have a tradition, I always stop at New Phở 999. It’s not even a question anymore. After a long day, nothing resets me like a steaming, fragrant bowl of their pho. I once asked the chef why the broth is so unbelievably good, and he told me they simmer the beef broth for over 8½ hours. That kind of care and patience shows in every sip…rich, balanced, and deeply comforting. I eat pho everywhere, Orange County, Koreatown, Downtown, but nothing compares to the authentic, family recipe here. Mediocre pho. But I am not surprised considering how little amount of pho restaurants are around the area. The broth was more bland than what I’m used to.

I've had a lot of pho, this is good. Above average portion size. Broth is a very whole body broth. Nice atmosphere and did not get approached once during the meal which is great.
