New Dragon Restaurant

Despite some pretty dicey reviews, the gf & i had been craving Chinese for a few weeks now and since we were just passing thru town and staying for the night across the street thought "what the hell!?"... we'll try it out.🤷🏽‍♂️ The place appeared closed from the outside, with an all but empty parking lot and blacked out windows...looked a Lil suss, imo.🤔 My first impression was that nobody in Guymon OK goes out for Chinese on a Thursday night, as the place was completely empty, dimly lit and absolutely no musical ambience whatsoever. There was however 1 lady working who greeted us politely and allowed us to choose our own seats. We ordered a pot of tea, 2 egg rolls, the kungpao shrimp for her, and combination dinner for me. The egg rolls were delicious and fresh, and the chicken chow mein

Food was good but a bit oily. Atmosphere was quiet and a bit darker. Service was good. No wait time. Price was reasonable.

Most of the chicken meat was dry with hardly any sauce. Most places you can get a spoon and dip more sauce on your plate, not this place. The atmosphere was way too quiet, no background music. The woman's rest room was out of order and there was no ice cream in the self serve machine. They advertised ice cream on Sundays and it was Sunday!

As a truck driver, I get to partake in a plethora of chinese restaurants . I'm grading it a 4 star just because of the location and because of the kindness of the host. Seems to me this place is for mostly take-out. Very low lit and quiet if you're going to dine in, but I enjoy dining in more than takeout. The food was great, and it was reasonably clean. My negatives are, of course, the price compared to the portions, but other than that, I would come back.

It’s not great. The place is rundown , it’s super dark inside so you don’t even know if they’re open. The food was pricy . Dry and just not good ! We spent over $80 on dry pork, overcooked chicken and rations with no filling .
