New China

Haven’t had take out Chinese in so long and honestly New China was really good. Egg drop soup was spot on satisfying, crispy noodles were not stale, delicious Singapore noodles and shrimp chow mein. Food for several meals as portions are generous and reasonably priced. It’s more of a storefront than restaurant so not a place to go eat a meal but I’d order take out again without issue. Plenty of parking in the lot out back.

I usually order from here and today the delivery man was rushing me and rude regarding giving him a tip. To see that my food had a piece of hair on it. I am truly just disgusted.

I ordered this on GrubHub but wanted to review here too. I bought the combination boneless spare ribs that included pork fried rice and an eggroll, then I bought 4 piece fried chicken wings, and 2 more eggrolls. Now I'm picky about Chinese restaurants so I haven't changed my location of my choice for years because the food can be off or bland for some. However, I was out of city and came to Hastings and wanted some, so I took a chance and I'm glad I did because it doesnt taste too far off from the one I commonly go to. And the boneless spare ribs in my opinion are more delicious because it has more sauce. Overral the food was good, had good taste, smell, so when I'm back in Hastings, I know where to go 😄 Total came to about $22.75, not including fees and my tip on Grubhub. But if you

I ordered from this restaurant for the first time, including a chow mein dish. What arrived was not chow mein. When I called to clarify, the staff claimed that chow mein doesn’t include noodles—despite their own menu clearly stating it comes with fried noodles. The person I spoke to refused to acknowledge that they had sent the wrong item. Disappointing experience. Food that was received was good though.
