Nelly’s Dominican Latin Restaurant

We stopped here for lunch (most places seem to be closed on a Wednesday). The food was surprisingly Fantastic! Fresh and delicious. The oxtail is tender and falling off the bone. The chicken stew is also delicious. The place is clean and bright and the service super friendly and warm. The lady patiently explained all the dishes. All in all a delightful find in upstate NY.

Customer service is a 10/10, got here before the restaurant opened and the nice gentlemen Fran opened the doors for me and my spouse and treated us with kindness and served us breakfast. ALSO gave us a sample of their fresh Chicharron. Will come here again and again for the food and guest service

This place is right up there with the best buffet style Latin American restaurants I've been to, and there have been a lot! Bean and rice were on point and there was enough beans and sauce for the rice to not be dry. The pernil was delicious and they didn't forget to cut me some skin. Portion was sizable. Place was basic and clean. I've been meaning to stop in for years and I'm sad I waited so long.

I go here quite often. I always enjoy the food although the staff are not very friendly. The food usually is and the cakes are delicious. Although today I went, and all of my stew meat was very tough and dry. My plantains were undercooked and the potatoes in the stew meat looked almost like dumplings because whoever peeled them did such a hack job on them so I suppose like any place that can be hit or miss depending on who is cooking, every other day I am completely amazed with their food today I was very let down And honestly, I feel like it was a waste of $20

This was only my second time. The rice is great, beans good, the pork... I think (Carnitas) So good. The chicken is great last time too. Just watch for bones.
