Customer Reviews
Neilson Dining Hall at Rutgers offers a great buffet-style lunch with a wide variety of fresh, well-prepared options to suit different tastes. From a fully stocked salad bar to hot entrees and international dishes, the food is flavorful and satisfying. I tried the veggie burger during my visit, it was surprisingly hearty, well-seasoned, and paired perfectly with the fresh toppings available. The dining area is clean and spacious, and the staff are friendly and attentive. It’s a convenient and enjoyable spot for a quality lunch on campus.
I went to the omelette bar to get a veggie omelette. The lady was making multiple omelettes at once which shouldn’t be a problem but she didn’t wipe the bacon bits and meat off the spatula and mixed it all up in my VEGGIE omelette. Obviously I didn’t say anything cuz I don’t want to make her life harder but bro now I can’t eat it. Why can’t they just use different spatula when there’s a no meat omelette. Nelson is supposed to be “halal” friendly but they be doing this so be careful all!
Food is honestly really good here, the staff are really nice and everything is arranged nicely and presentable. The seating area is really comfy as they just renovated it and even with all that being said its still not too overwhelming. Honestly I’m a huge fan of the buffet styled eating plan. Definitely recommend people to come and eat here!
The best Rutgers dining hall no debate. Sweet and helpful staff, loads of healthy options, and a big variety of food. So much customization available and their passionfruit tea & cold brew are bomb. Oftentimes plays those classic old white dad songs too. Love it
deliciously! I really like ice cream and, of course, a large selection of various cuisines: pizza, chicken, rice, vegetables, hummus. $15 was the cost of this lunch for one person.
