Galata Bistro

This place is pretty new and decided to check it out. Classic middle eastern restaurant, they have a variety of food and drink options. Not much for vegetarians like me but the food was really nice. Ordered the falafel and I thought they were great. Perfectly fresh and crispy. Hummus was good too. Their bread is amazing, it’s so fresh and hot and the tzatziki and tahini are great. We ordered grape leaves which were served hot and tasted amazing! I came here after Sahara which is just nearby has been giving worse food. I was pleased to see the high quality food and the nice interior. It’s a little pricey but honestly everything is expensive these days so at least quality was good. Would recommend!

TLDR: Great service, sincere and good middle eastern food. Always great to see a new middle eastern restaurant in the area. We ordered a bunch of things to share - generally everything was solid, but nothing particularly stood out to us vs. other upscale restaurants we’ve been to in NYC.

Visiting for work so had take out. By far one of the best bites I've eaten and wish I had time to go to the restaurant. Outstandingly good. Great flavor dynamic can easily tell the care and preparation they put into their food. Outstanding thank you for your passion

I really enjoyed this place and its food selection. I truly enjoyed the baklava and kunefe. Staff were really friendly and very knowledgeable about the food culture. The Turkish tea was very delicious. The shareable plates were enough for our party. I had a great experience with it.

Step aside New Brunswick and Patterson Turkish/Mediterranean restaurants.....There is a new star in town Galata Bistro! Absolutely splendid meat melts in your mouth. Fresh over baked bread. I devoured the rice pudding. Great service. Definitely my new spot.
