I grew up here in the 50’s and early 60’s! Our family locker was #24. Clam Bakes, swimming races, playing in the sand pit, sailing my Sunfish to Sand City, and waterskiing were all part of the summer. My dad was part of the “Take-Five Band” which later became the “Surfside Six,” which entertained during the July 4 and Labor Day festivities. All this was topped off by the Good Humor Man’s daily visit! In the winters, we skated on Schmidt’s Pond.
Grew up sailing, snorkeling, and swimming at this beach club, many fond memories.
Loved it what a great place to chill out at 😁
