Tried an African food truck with some friends today and it was amazingg. The chicken was literally fall-off-the-bone tender and so well made. First time trying African food but everything was incredibly flavorful, with rich spices and sauces that made every bite really stand out. The woman working there was so kind and patient, she helped us learn how to pronounce the names of the dishes because we were curious about what everything was called. Nathalie’s African Food Truck is an absolute gem. I ordered the fufu with chicken egusi and it truly exceeded every expectation. The fufu was perfectly smooth and soft with that authentic texture that makes it so satisfying to eat, and it paired beautifully with the rich, flavorful egusi. The chicken was tender, well seasoned, and cooked just right, soaking up the savory and slightly spicy sauce. You can tell that real care, tradition, and passion go into every dish. The portion size was generous and the overall taste was comforting yet bold. If you’re looking for real, authentic African cuisine with amazing flavor, Nathalie’s is a must try and I will definitely be back.

I ordered the fufu, stew, and a sambusa. My husband ordered a combo plate with a different entree and we both received the same thing. I chose not to get a drink (she asked me), but the combo plate came with one. When he went to pick up the food and asked about the drink, she said she was not giving him one, because I said I did not want one. The food was good, but I will not try it again due to her not offering the drink to him; it just seemed rude not to hand a bottle or can of soda over. Upon reflection, maybe she just did not like him, because she only took my order initially; we actually had to say that he wanted something, too. I know Africa is a BIG continent, but honestly I was hoping for some injera, as Ethiopian is the most familiar I am with African menus. Lesson learned: check

The food at Nathalie African Food was absolutely authentic and delicious. We had the goat stew and fufu. It was delicious. The woman who was working the food truck was really nice too All in all a really nice experience eating here. If you are a foodie and want to try something new I highly suggest you try this food truck.
