Nashville Public Library Madison Branch

The seating areas are quiet and clean, there’s a surprising amount of books in the stacks for such a small branch, and the bathrooms are well maintained. A selection of various kinds of seats, which comes in handy depending on what you’re doing. The parking lot is clean and safe - there is a bus stop right next to it which can be convenient but when the sun goes down can be a bit sketch. Overall a great value to the neighborhood.

I'm not from the area, but I wandered over to take a look see. This is a nice place. I saw a homeless guy outside, but I didn't think anything of it because that's a fellow human being and they deserve to be acknowledged as such. Then I wandered around looking at the books, and I see where all of the fiction books are in the same grouping because they're all fiction. This isn't a bookstore that separates books by genre. If you need help locating a book, there are handy employees who will be more than happy to help you.

I was able to get in, get a library card, and get out in a timely manner. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Library was clean, quiet, and not very crowded. I would recommend going here if you just want to get out of the house and read peacefully.

I gave it a 4 because it’s clean, the staff is lovely and the children’s area is expansive and engaging. But for adults it’s different. The reason… Every type of fiction book, romance, mystery, fantasy, classics, ect. Are all in 1 category. It took me like 1.5 hours to find 3 books that were fantasy and they were found at random. Please separate your genres!!!!!!!!!
