Tried Myungin Dumplings in Northridge, across the street from Northridge Fashion Square. Portions here are generous, and we ordered several dishes to sample the menu. The pork and shrimp dim sum was bigger than expected and very juicy. The bulgogi came out on a sizzling plate and had solid flavor. I also really liked the green onion pancake was crispy outside with a chewy, almost mochi-like texture inside. The Kimchi King steamed dumplings were HUGE and could easily be a meal on their own. We also had the fried shrimp (not made in-house but still crispy) and the soy garlic fried chicken, which was sweet, savory, and enjoyable. Nice to see the buns being made fresh. Overall, good portions and comforting food, a solid spot if you’re in the area craving dumplings.
Their Sweet And Spicy Fried Chicken is a definite MUST-TRY!! Their house-made sauce is blended with Korean spices, giving you that glossy, sticky, sweet heat that builds gently without overpowering. Not super spicy, more sweet taste but insanely flavorful and addictive. We got a half order, which consisted of 1 wing, 1 drumstick, 1 thigh, 2 rib, 2 breast, costing $16.99. A whole order of chicken is $28.99. We would definitely order again. Dumplings are handmade fresh daily. You can literally taste the difference in every bite — juicy fillings, delicate wrappers, and that perfect pleat. We tried: Dim Sum 10 pc $16.99 Korean style dumplings 8 pc $15.99 King Steamed Dumpling With Pork And Vegetables 4pc $15.99 Pan Fried Dumplings 10pc $16.99 My favorites were the Korean style dumplings and
I came here with my daughter n wife. We got many dishes. We got the Malatang mild soup and it was very tasty. We also got the King Steam Dumpling, fried shrimp, marinated beef and fried chicken all simply divine. However the fried chicken was slightly dry. Maybe next time I'll get the soy garlic n see the difference. I will be coming back again.
Last Sunday, my BFF and I gave this place a tryout of our curiosity. It was about 30 minutes after 1:00 pm their opening time on Sunday. There were 4 tables with other guests that got there before us, then another table of guests that came after us. That was a good sign! They were obviously understaffed. Only a girl that was making buns on an area, another girl who sat all the guests, took orders, served, took care on all the used dishes & cleaned all tables, and also processed payments. So, expect the service a bit slow if you aren't in a rush. On 3 of our orders, we enjoyed the spicy shrimp dumplings and soy garlic chicken more. Although, we think the chicken could be nicer if they were a bit more crunchier. They were in pretty good portions and decent price. We spent under $60.00 for
Food: 4/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10 Parking: 10/10 The parking is so convenient, there’s plenty of spots! Inside the restaurant it appeared to be a slower day for them, there were no customers. The ambiance inside is charming and clean. The gentleman who helped us was nice and was a good server overall. The spicy wings were not spicy whatsoever, they’re so sweet. The banchans were so delicious. The crispy chicken buns were good. On the other hand the bulgogi portion was extremely small. The overall taste was average. I personally wouldn’t come back.
