Murray House Bed & Breakfast

Our stay at Murray House was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, everything was thoughtfully prepared and welcoming. The property itself is charming, peaceful, and beautifully maintained—truly a delightful place to unwind and enjoy the surroundings.|Noreen’s communication was exceptional. Her detailed instructions made everything seamless, from check-in to exploring the area. It’s clear she puts a lot of care into making guests feel at home and ensuring they get the most out of their visit. I look forward to returning at a warmer time to enjoy the pool between seeing the town.

Noreen was very accommodating and helpful in booking. The instructions and access were straightforward and easy to follow. My boyfriend and I found the room so cute and in a perfect location for our weekend!

This is a quaint, vintage style BNB near Baileys Beach and cliff walk and Bellevue Avenue with all the mansions. Our place was perfect for everything we wanted and needed. Quiet with views of the water....bed was nice and comfortable, new Smart TV, AC worked great, fridge, electric stove, microwave, dresser and closet, sitting room and small deck with chairs and table. |We visited the beach each day, so we never took advantage of the pool or jacuzzi tub which did look nice. |Noreen was readily available to answer any questions as well as recommend local places and things to do. |I will absolutely visit and stay again.

Based on the great reviews we chose Murray house for a 2 night stay. The room is very dark and musty, the only ventilation a very small window in the bathroom. The major issue we had was with the "continental breakfast".|The breakfast consisted of 2 doughnuts and 2 muffins left under a glass dome on Sunday afternoon when we arrived. Nothing was added to this for the next two days and by Tuesday were quite stale. Worse, the basket of breakfast bars had bars with the expiration dates of 2023, while the two oatmeal containers in the basket expired in 2024. Inside the frig there were 2 individual containers of mixed fruit that expired in 2023. This is a wonderful place to stay. Very quiet place. The room is clean and comfortable. The grounds around the room are beautiful. It is within walking distance of the south end of the cliff walk. ( something we plan on going back to do ). The owner Noreen was excellent to deal with. Answered any questions I had. I am already planning my next trip.
