Munchies Live BBQ

Great food, really good prices. Staff and the owner that are as there were extremely helpful. I’ve already told two groups of friends about Munchies Live BBQ. So far my favorite lunch is the jerk chicken served with black beans & Cilantro saffron rice. Very nice music playing too. Light jazz piano.

If you haven’t been to Munchies Live BBQ yet, stop what you’re doing and go, the chopped chicken is INSANELY good. Like, shockingly good. Perfectly smoked, juicy, and full of flavor on its own, but when you hit it with any of their sauces, it’s next level. Every single sauce is a win, but that jerk vinegar sauce is straight-up addictive, tangy, spicy, and just the right amount of kick. It ties everything together and makes you wonder why every BBQ joint doesn’t serve it. Friendly crew, great portions, and food that tastes like someone actually cares about what’s coming off the pit. Hands down one of the best BBQ spots in Central Florida.

First time in Tavares and saw this bbq stand/restaurant near the hotel and tried it for lunch. Oh my! Brisket sandwich is homerun. Cuban sandwich is so good. Laid back, super friendly, one of the owners working the bbq grill outside by the outdoor tables. Lake view. What a fun find!

My food experience was great! The food was fresh, delicious, and truly homemade. I had a BBQ sandwich platter and my guest had a fish platter (flounder). The service was excellent - true patience shown to explain the menu and ingredients. Plus, the seating area was calm, relaxing, and so cozy. If you want good food and a great overall experience, choose Munchies Live BBQ!

Beware of the dry rub seasoning, highly addictive and delicious!! Now I put it on everything, even my icecream! Their seasoning shaker stays at the dinner table next to the salt and pepper. Pulled pork is out of this world!! Don't buy one seasoning shaker, buy 4 like I did, maybe more! You'll regret running out!
