Mr. Mustacheo

We were interested in Mr. Mustacheo ever since we noticed the “coming soon” sign above the restaurant. Once we saw a few Facebook reviews stating this place was hit, we knew we had to try it. Happy to report the Facebook reviews were not wrong. We bought four tacos: tinga, fish, al pastor, and carne asada. All of them were phenomenal. It feels a bit blasphemous to say, but I think these may be the best tacos I’ve had in the West St. Paul/Westside area. I was especially impressed by the al pastor. I find places around here typically serve their al pastor very dry. This was not an issue at all at Mr. Mustacheo. The two taco combo felt like a great deal with generously portioned sides and an agua fresca (you can choose a soda if you prefer). We also bought some wings to share with the table

We were given a hot bowl of soup, on a cold day, and now we're regular customers. The genuine smiles that greet you, upon entry, are definitely a treat. The tacos are absolutely delicious, fast and affordable. Frijoles Charros, the best.

I was nearby by for an errand and wanted to support a small business and this place looked promising. From the second you come in you feel welcomed and you can watch them prepare your meal with such care. I was offered samples of drinks and the meats for the tacos as soon as I went to the counter. The horchata is so delicious and the steak and chicken were tender and really well seasoned. The combo meals come with 2 sides that were honestly hard to pick from so I asked the owner to pick what his favorites were. I got the street tacos with beans and apple/cabbage salad and it was beyond expectations. I ate most of it sitting in my car in the parking lot because it smelled too good to wait to eat at home. The beans alone will make me a loyal customer. Holy smokes! Please support this plac

Went here for lunch date with my girl and we were both surprised how great it was! She suggested we try it and I’m sure glad we did. We were greeted with a smile from the owner and he gave us some free samples of horchata and fresh squeezed lemonade to try! The service was quick and convenient, the atmosphere was wide open and breathable with amazing views of WSP. You could tell the food was made with care and the boss even gave us a couple of stick on mustaches to take funny pictures with!! Highly recommend!

I’d like to thank Facebook for the suggestion: Ever since my first visit, I’ve become a regular once a week since I live nearby!! 😂 Love the atmosphere- it’s simple, super clean, the menu has a ton of options …I may have my favorites at this moment (I vouch for the shrimp tacos, orange y queso salad AND mango tamarindo wings 🔥) The staff is very friendly and everything is made fresh!! I keep telling people about this spot in hopes they give it a try! Also, YURI IS AMAZING!! Sweetest soul. <3
