Mr. K's Original BBQ

I ordered the three meat plate that came with brisket a pork rib and sausage. The barbecue sauce delicious. I have never been to a barbecue place that poured barbecue sauce all over the meat. It is typically served on the side so you can taste the flavor of the barbecued meat. I guess there was a reason for that. The sausage was good. The brisket was so dried out I did not eat it. The pork rib had a couple of bites that had some fat and was good but the rest was dry. Collard greens good. Macaroni and cheese a hard no. I drove out from Green Valley because I heard this was the place. Good customer service. Reasonable price but when you only eat a quarter of the meal it's not a good deal in the end.

Some of the best BBQ in AZ. I love this spot and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area. Amazing ribs and brisket. Most friendly staff you'll ever encounter. Wonderful experience.

You know it is going to be good when the food comes in styrofoam and the owner is playing dominoes with the mail man. The brisket is the best I've had outside of Texas by a mile. The beans were amazing, the greens were amazing, and so was the cornbread. $20 bucks for a plate and a drink and I am not going to need to eat again today and most of tomorrow.

The brisket is juicy, piled high, and full of flavor! The fries are perfectly crispy and everything is served with a smile! And only 6 minutes from the airport! I wish I didn't live so far away 😋

If you're looking for good BBQ in Tucson, Mr. K's is a great option. Especially if, like me, you like mesquite. I live in Texas now and for the most part its oak, oak, oak which is also delicious but this was a welcomed change. I didn't try everything they had to offer because their menu goes beyond just BBQ and I didn't even try all they had to offer BBQ wise here's what I got along side my honest opinion. Brisket: Good smoke flavor, tender, fat was well rendered, there was a good bark. Delicious with or without sauce. Hot Links: Great snap to the casings, meaty, juicy, mesquite smoke shows up well, not as hot as I'd like but very good. Beef Ribs: Cooked well, good flavor and bark, tad lacking in juiciness but nothing their delicious sauce can't help you over look. Sauce: thin, tangy
