Mr. Gyros

I stopped by Mr. Gyros while finishing some work in Anthem, and had an amazing experience. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and honestly one of the best gyro plates I’ve had in Arizona. The place runs super smooth, and you can tell the team cares about quality. Special shoutout to Evelyn, who works there, she always has great energy and makes the whole experience even better. Her customer service is on point and she treats everyone with kindness. If you’re in the area, definitely give this spot a try. Highly recommend!

First and last time to Mr. Gyros. Waited almost 30 minutes for my food after placing my take out order. Service was ok, not friendly, not rude, not suggestive or inviting. While waiting, I overheard a table complaining amongst their table about their plate lacking several ingredients that are listed on the menu. I glanced over and they were definitely lacking what I had heard compared to the menu. Our gyros had good portion of meat and taste was ok, nothing great. The Philly cheesesteak hardly had any meat on it but had good flavor, better than the gyros. I noticed another review commented about the lack of meat on the Philly so we’re not the only ones. It was mostly bread with a thin meat layer.

Mr Gyros is hands down the most authentic food in Arizona. The flavors are unreal, everything tastes fresh, and you can tell it’s made with care. The customer service is next level — they treat you like family every time. Being family-owned makes it even better. This is my go-to spot and easily the best Mediterranean food in AZ.
